Trust & Safety

Last updated: April 28, 2026  ·  Effective upon legal review

Overview #

ReallySolved is designed to surface truth — and that mission is incompatible with a platform that tolerates harassment, illegal content, or abuse of the resolution process. This document describes how we identify, review, and act on content and behavior that violates our policies, the timelines we hold ourselves to, and the rights users retain throughout that process.

Trust & Safety is not a separate team from product integrity — it is product integrity. Every enforcement decision reflects on the credibility of every verdict we publish.

Prohibited Content #

The following content categories are prohibited on ReallySolved and will be removed upon identification. They may not appear in submissions, evidence, user profiles, comments, or any other user-generated field:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — Any depiction, including illustrated or AI-generated material. Immediately removed and reported to NCMEC.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) — Explicit images or video of real persons shared without their consent.
  • Credible violent threats — Direct, specific threats of physical harm against identified individuals or groups.
  • Targeted harassment — Coordinated or sustained behavior designed to intimidate, distress, or silence a specific individual.
  • Doxing — Publication of private identifying information about any person without their consent.
  • Incitement to violence — Content calling for, glorifying, or encouraging violence against specific people or groups on the basis of protected characteristics.
  • Malware and phishing — Links or files designed to compromise devices or steal credentials.
  • Fabricated evidence submitted as authentic — Content falsely presented as genuine evidence in a resolution proceeding.

Content involving minors that does not reach the CSAM threshold but is sexualized or exploitative is also prohibited and will be escalated to Trust & Safety leadership.

Detection Methods #

We use a combination of automated systems and human review. Detection method tags below indicate how each category is primarily identified.

Category Method Notes
CSAM Auto PhotoDNA hash-matching on all uploaded media. Zero tolerance; immediate escalation.
NCII Flag Auto User-flagged; AI classifier assists in triage. Human review required before action.
Violent threats Auto Flag NLP classifier identifies high-confidence threats; human review before removal.
Harassment Flag Pattern reviewed across multiple reports; single reports reviewed within SLA.
Doxing Flag Notice User-flagged or subject-notified; expedited review given harm potential.
Fabricated evidence Flag Flagged by Resolvers or opposing parties; reviewed by senior moderator.
Spam / manipulation Auto Behavioral signals and submission velocity. Account-level action where patterns confirm.

Response SLAs #

We commit to the following response windows from the time a report is confirmed received:

Immediate
Critical
CSAM. Auto-removed on detection; reported to NCMEC within 24 hours per CyberTipline requirements.
24–72 hrs
Urgent
Defamation claims, targeted harassment, doxing, NCII, credible violent threats.
7 Days
Standard
Fabricated evidence disputes, spam, Code of Conduct violations, general content reports.

These are target timelines, not guarantees. Volume spikes, coordinated abuse campaigns, or complex cases requiring legal review may extend these windows. We will communicate delays to affected users where possible.

User Appeals #

Any user whose content is removed or whose account is actioned may appeal within 30 days of the action. Appeals are reviewed by a moderator who was not involved in the original decision.

To appeal, email appeals@reallysolved.com with your account handle, a description of the action taken, and your explanation. We target a response within 14 days of receiving a complete appeal.

Appeals do not delay enforcement of the original action pending review. If the appeal succeeds, the action will be reversed and any affected RIQ score restored. Appeals decisions are final except in cases involving verifiable factual error.

Minor Protection #

ReallySolved is not directed at users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will delete the account and all associated data promptly.

Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors will be removed immediately regardless of any other context. CSAM reports are made to NCMEC's CyberTipline as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A. We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations involving harm to minors.

Government Requests #

We receive requests from law enforcement and government agencies to disclose user data, preserve records, or remove content. Our policy:

  • We require a valid legal process (subpoena, court order, or search warrant) before disclosing non-public user data, except in emergencies involving imminent risk of death or serious physical injury.
  • We will notify affected users of requests unless prohibited from doing so by law or court order.
  • All government requests are logged and disclosed in our Transparency Reports to the extent legally permitted.
  • We do not implement voluntary content removal at government request without valid legal basis.
  • We challenge overbroad or legally deficient requests.

Law enforcement requests should be directed to legal@reallysolved.com.

DSA Compliance (EU Users) #

Users accessing ReallySolved from the European Union are protected by the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065). Our DSA commitments:

  • Statements of reasons: When we restrict content or suspend an account affecting an EU user, we provide a statement of the reasons for that decision.
  • Internal complaint mechanism: EU users may challenge any moderation decision through our internal appeals process at no cost. See the Appeals section above.
  • Out-of-court settlement: If our internal appeal does not resolve your complaint, you may refer the matter to an EU-certified out-of-court dispute settlement body.
  • No dark patterns: We do not use design techniques that manipulate users into providing more personal data than necessary or that obscure the ability to cancel or report.
  • Transparency reporting: We publish transparency data including content removal statistics, account actions, and government requests. See Transparency Reports.

Our DSA point of contact for authorities: legal@reallysolved.com.
